Miss Rosie: Using Applied Theatre to Engage the Heart & Mind
Workshop for educators centered around Lucille Clifton's poem "Miss Rosie" as a model to use multiple applied theatre techniques and activities to encourage critical and creative engagement with poetry.
We invited educators to enter the physical world of Lucille Clifton’s “Miss Rosie” in this workshop with the UFT Teacher Center. Participants explored her home, her belongings and her thoughts as we delved into this powerful poem.
